BUNYAN IN TIBET
CHRISTIAN AS AN INDIAN LOM UOX, Dec. 2. John Bunyan lias appeared as a "best seller'' on the northern slopes of the Himalayas. Six months ago the tteiigious Tract Society published a Tibetan translation of ''The Pilgrim's Progress." The edition lias "gone" so well thai yesterday morning only three copies remained in the society's store-room in London. The illustrations accompanying the text have, been specially designed to suit the taste of Oriental readers. Christian is shown in the costume of an Indian traveller, and faithful in a suit of chain tifflnouv; while Vainly fair i.s :i typical Eastern bazaar, with its usual sideslmws of dancing girls and performing snakes.
