AUSTRALIA'S CHANCE
GOODS FOR NEW ZEALAND BROKER'S SUGGESTION MELBOURNE, Jan. 21. Declaring that it was Australia's unrivalled opportunity owing to the present high exchange rates to develop markets in New Zealand, Mr. M. Nathan, financial broker, explained that New Zealand pays adverse exchange on English goods when she could get them from Australia at a favorable exchange and at less than half the freight cost. He added: "We could supply New Zealand with men's hats, clothing, boots, shoes, . stockings and many other items if our manufacturers would attempt to exploit tins market."
