“HANDS OFF BRADMAN”
LONDON PRESS COMMENT OFFICIALDOM DEPLORED (Received December 31, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 30. Tho Daily Herald article entitled “Hands Off’Bradman,” says he is evidently suffering from a combination ot hero worship ami official irritation. Apart from one brilliant innings lie has dropped entirely from the superb standard displayed in England. The fact that one half of Australians expected him to score effortless centuries, while the other half regards Bradman as a bad boy, must have an adverse mental effect on one who, after all, is a mere schoolboy. Everyone wishes Bradman a quick and safe deliverance from officialdom. He is an asset to the cricket world.
