A proposal that J. Scott, the present Australian champion sculler, should visit New Zealand and compete in tho Dominion champion sculls, has been abandoned.
When the New Zealand Rowing Association invited Scott, the ditto of tho championship was set down for February 7. If this arrangement had been adhered to, 'Scott would have made tho trip, but the date Was changed <6 February 23. and as Scott, wishes to compete in .the Stale championship on tho Nepean on March 28, he decided definitely to abandon the idea of going to Now Zealand,
