BURNS A HOUSE DOWN CHRISTMAS LOAD DESTROYED OAKLAND (Calif.), Dec. 22. Bearing a ton of Christmas mail, the Western air-express mail aeroplane gavo A 1 Toner, bis wife, and four children the shock of their lives.
They were sleeping peacefully at 5 o’clock this morning, when tho. giant aeroplane crashed into their sittingroom, and set fire to the house. A 1 arid his family rushed outside in their nightclothes, and watched their homo burn down. The machine was inward bound from Salt. Lake The pilots overshot the landing-field, tried to rise for another attempt, but collided with Al’s house.
