P.B. V. WELLINGTON HOME SIDE’S GOOD START The home side made a good start in the match at the Oval to-day between the Poverty Bay representative eleven and Mr. A. E. Donegbue’s Wellington team, and at the luncheon adjournment the board showed 86 for the loss of only two wickets. Tile opening pair, 0. «T. Robertson and Nicholson, made a firm stand, compiling 56 between them before the partnership was broken, the latter being caught by Brown off McAllan for 26. ■S. Reeves joined Robertson, and the pair carried tho score to 76 before Reeves was caught by Brown oil' McAllan. C. Eraser then went- to the wickets, and he and Robertson were still in at the adjournment, Robertson having made 35.
