FABLED VIRTUE OF BEE
BLASTED BY SCIENCE GREED REASON FOR ‘INDUSTRY’ MONTGOMERY. Ala., Nov. 7. Science has blasted a fabled virtue of tho bee. Hr. L. F. Phillips, Cornell University lice expert, told the Alabama Hoc Producers’ Convention that it was greed and not abundant energy that resulted in the supposed “industry” of the honey makers. Ho also'blasted the fable that hives arc dominated by the so-called “Queen Lee.” Tie claimed bees have no rulers that anyone can observe. “Complete democracy prevails, except then- is no government whatever,” he explained, ‘■which may not prove their intelligence but certainly speaks well for I heir good sense,”
