GREAT FALLS (Mont.), Dec. 17. Ray Gaunt, chief of police, with all his officers and 20 bootleggers, were fined fi2QQ each to-day for violation of the liquor laws. They inaugurated a wholesale license system for the sale of liquor under protection. The police used a looseleaf charge-book, so that incriminating records could be withdrawn when retired.
