GOVERNOR WOUNDED
OUTRAGE AT LAHORE STRUCK BY TWO SHOTS (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received December 24, 11 a.in.) DELHI, Dec. 23. An attempt to assassinate Sir George Geoffrey de Montmorency, Governor of Punjab, was made this afternoon as be was leaving the Punjab University ball at Lahore, after the convocation. Six shots were tired near the gale. Two struck the Governor, one in the back and the other in the left hip. Another shot hit a sub-inspector of police, the bullet passing through bis neck. A fourth wounded was another policeman, and a fifth a woman.
