N.Z. BUTTER STOCKS ' • Tlic disposal of Now Zealand butter in largo quantities recently Inis greatly reduced stored stocks in London, and those are now down almost to a level with those existing at the corresponding period last year. The low market prices during the English summer were the cause of large quantities being held, the amount' in store being considerably in excess of those held at a similar period last year. During the past few weeks, however, the deliveries were about double those at corresponding periods last year. The Dairy Hoard’s weekly circular shows that, deliveries of Now Zealand butter last week totalled 1950 ‘ tons, compared with 085 tons for the corresponding week last year, and that 44C0 tons remained in store at the close of last week’s business compared with 4050 tons last year. Last week the stored quantities totalled 6000 tons, compared with 3900 tons. The retail price of ■ New Zealand butter .was quoted as Is 4d, and Danish Is sd.
