On 'completion of discharge she loads frozen produce, sailing filially from Gisborne for Honolulu and. Pacific Goast ports. The motor ship Awalton sailed last evening, and is due at Auckland to-mor-row to load again for Coast bays and Gisborne.

The Pakura arrived this morning from Wellington, via Napier, and returns south this afternoon.

The Parera was dispatched last everting for Westport, and after discharging her shipment of stock she loads eoal for Tokomaru Bay. The motor ship Margaret W sailed yesterday afternoon for Auckland, where she loads next Monday and Tuesday for Gisborne and Const bays.

The Tiroa, which is expected to complete her annual overhaul to-morrow, sails on Monday evening for Tokomaru Bay to lighter the Hertford, Mr. ,1. Farrell, chief officer on the coastal steamer Tiroa, who was admitted to tho Cook Hospital last Monday, suffering from a fractured jaw as a result of slipping and striking.the deck, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery. In the meantime his place will be taken by Mr. Taylor, of Napier. Captain J. Beighton, who is in command of the Ferndale, which arrived at Lyttelton a few days ago from London, was for 14 years in the service of the Union Steam Ship 00., having had command at various times of the steamers Wanaka, Pukaki, Rosamond, and Taviuni. He was in the South Sea Islands at the commencement of the war, and proceeded to Australia, where he joined the Australian Navv. He commanded the German liner Kanstatt, which was seized at Brisbane when war broke out, and took that vessel from Sydney to England. After leaving the Navy ho commanded’ various of the Bay ste/imers for seven years.
