This pair ripped through an 18in. log in 13sec. Later they repeated the performance, creating a New Zealand record, The team to represent Southland is as follows: J. Pont, 11, Fraser. E. Fraser, W. Athens, W, Tillard, G. Blanks, and J, Hunter.
