TARIFF REDUCTIONS
THE GENEVA CONVENTION (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 4. Questioned regarding the operations of the tariff truce, the president of the Board of Trade, Air. W. Graham, informed the House of Commons that the commercial convention concluded at Geneva last Alarch so far had been ratified by eight countries —the United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark. Finland, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, and Switzer land.
A meeting had been arranged for November .17 to consider the bringing into force of tin* convention, and at ibis meeting the replies to the recent questionnaire would be considered with a view to framing a programme for a further conference, at which the possibility of securing a reduction of tariff's would be examined.
