WORLD’S GOLD SUPPLY
A POSSIBLE SHORTAGE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 4. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Air. Snowden, informed the House of Commons that he had received an interim report of the gold delegation of the financial committee of the League of Nations, which bore on the possibility of future supplies of new gold proving inadequate to meet the world requirements. The measures suggested to meet such an eventuality were international in scope. The committee had not yet completed its investigations, and no action would he taken until the recommendations had been made.
