P.B. AND E.O. ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting on Tuesday night of the Poverty Bay and Fast Coast Lawn Tennis Association, there were present Messrs. N. H. Bull, chairman, i>. K. The animal report- and balance, sheet, already published, ■ were adopted without discussion. Mr. Alley explained the reason why tlie City club had nob paid its affiliation fees, and on tho motion of Mr. Sodden, it was decided to remit all the arrears. The election of oilicers resulted: President, Air. M. J. White; vice-presidents, Messrs.. N. 11. Bull, A. M. Beale, ,10. M. Hutchinson, A. 11. Lange, and C. L. Margolioutli; lion, auditor, Air. W. M. Jenkins; hon. referee, Mr. E. Woodrow; assistant lion, referee, Mr. G. 11. Sodden; executive, .Messrs F. N. Holder, A. J. -Stock, W. T. Thompson, IV. At. Jenkins, and A. Alley; delegates to New Zealand association, .Messrs. U. A. Foden and It. St. J. Beorc; hon. secretary, Mr. E. Woodrow. On the motion of Mr. N. JL Bull, seconded by Air. AL J. White, the usual honorarium was granted to the secretary. On behalf of tlie Tolaga Bay Club, Air. Chrisp suggested an alteration in tlie method of selecting teams to represent the Coast- clubs in tho. If. IS. Williams’ .Shield matches. —It was agreed to adopt the suggestion, and to notify the clubs on the Const to appoint three selectors from each club. Mr. Sedclon suggested, that a “star competition should be organised by the association, and it was resolved to make a recommendation in this connection to the incoming committee. The secretary reported that he had obtained permission to play the Poverty Bay and East Coast championships and handicap tournament on December 26, 27, 29, 30, and 31. .Arrangements in connection with the tournament were left in the hands of the committee.

Applications were received from Te Araroa. Waipiro Bay, and Rualoria clubs to hold tournaments. Tho dates submitted were approved by the association, and it was decided to forward ihe applications to the New Zealand association for approval.
