TOR 10, Oct. 15. The advance- of Japan in international sport is indicated by the, return to-day of a Rugby 'football team, which had an unbroken series of victories in Canada. Tlia manager stated that, while tho players had' nothing to learn technically from Canada, they discovered a sporting spirit which was not found in Japan. Boxing is another advancing sport, though Japanese are not yet in the heavyweight class. Kim lira, the leading lightweight, lias boon invited to Hawaii, and will later take part in contests in tho United States.
