U.S. AIRWOMAN SUED FOR £30,000
NEW YORK, Sept. 26. Miss Ruth Elder, the American airwoman who took part in an attempt to fly the Atlantic a couple of years ago, and was rescued with her companions in mid-ocean, is being sued for £30,000. Her former “promoter,” Mr. T. M. Cardie, has instituted an action for (lamages in the New York Supreme Court, lie declares that her marriage to Mr. Walter Camp last year violated a contract. she made to appear in moving pictures under his direction for a period of 10 years.
