ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

GISBORNE ASSOCIATION MEETS The monthly meeting of the Gisborne branch of the St. John Ambulance Association was held on Tuesday night, there being present Mr. A. Thomson, chairman, Mesdames W. Lissunt Clayton, W. E. Goffe, L. Silver wood, C. H. Ferris, Dr. Nina Muir, and Messrs. C. E. Bickford, A.- Preebairn, S'. B. Hillyard, 11. ,T. Clayton, J. J. MacDonald, A. S. Parker, and W. E. B. Froggatt, hon. secrotary. . , ~ Correspondence was. received from the Cook Hospital Board, containing the ambulance agreement for signature. Mr. A. W. Probert, district officer, notified that ho would be unable to visit Gisborne to- inspect the ambulance and nursing divisions, and requested that the inspection be undertaken by Superintendent AY. E. B. Froggatt. Tho transport officer reported that during October 25 patients bad been takeh to hospital; the total mileago being 130. Messrs. Thomson, Froggatt, and T. G. Johns were authorised to sign tho ambulance agreement with the Cook Hospital Board.

On behalf of the Chief Commissioner, the- chairman presented the warrant ot appointment- as lady divisional superintendent,. of tljo Gisborne nursing division to Dr. Nina Muir.

Regarding the holding of an art union, it was agreed to wait until next February, when a special committee will bo appointed to deal wjth the matter. * ;
