MORE EXPENDITURE

DOMINION’S .FINANCES REVENUE DOWN £1,000,000 (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The public accounts issued in a supplementary Gazette to-night disclose that the revenue for the,six months amounted to £9,057,880, compared with £10,169,247 for the corresponding .period last year, and the expenditure amounted .to £12,237,467, compared with £11,846,300 for the corresponding six months of 1929. Expenditure under the heading of “.permanent apprppriations” ■ amounted to £8,591,560 (compared with £8,157*534), and under “annual appropriations” £3,645,907 (compared with £3,688,766). These figures ai;e identical with., thoso contained in the statement made by- the lion. E- A. ltansom during the.-second reading of the Appropriation Bill in the. House, of Representatives ,on. October, 26, and the aeting-Priine Minister, intimated to-night that the review of the position which, he made on that occasion, -when it was pointed out figures were-based on preliminary calculations, applies to the present-situation, , , • , •
