The funeral cortege will leave the late residence of the deceased in Kahutia street at about 2 p.m., and will comprise a striking testimony to the love and affection inspired by Lady Carroll. Visitors from outlying districts continue to arrive to participate in tho funeral ceremonies, and the gathering of natives will be a large one. Maori ceremonies will mark tho occasion of Lady Carroll's burial, on a scale similar to fjjiat adopted for tho obsequies of the lato Sir James. Tho order of the funeral procession lias been carefully arranged, tho members of deceased’s family and representatives of native tribes following immediately after the hearse, with Sir Apiruna. Ngata and the district members of Parliament being next in order. After the Government and Parliamentary representatives will come Chief Judge R. N. Jones and Judge H. 'Carr, of the Native Land Court, members of the Gisborne Borough Council headed by the Mayor, representatives of other local bodies, members of the Kahutia Bowling Club, the Cook County Women’s Guild, and members of tho sports bodies which have benefited from Lady Carroll’s generosity. The pallbearers will comprise members of tho Kahutia Bowling Club, who also filled that oflieo in connection with the funeral of Sir James Carroll.

TRAFFIC SUPERVISION. It is anticipated that the final rites will be witnessed by a large gathering of townspeople, and that the funeral procession will be a. lengthy one. Arrangements have been made for careful supervision of the Traffic, and in conformity with these arrangements only official cars will be allowed to Stand in Kahutia street, between Grey street and the Cobden street extension, prior to the outset of the procession. All other cars which it is intended should join tho cortege will wait in Waitangi street and Childers road, Cobden street being left clear between the lato residence of Lady Carroll and the intersection with didders road. The route of the procession will be by way of Cobden street to Gladstone road, and thence direct to tho cemetery at Makaraka.

The A. and P. Association has placed its grounds at the disposal of the traffic authorities for the parking of cars opposite the burial ground, and this action should facilitate greatly the handling of tho large numbers of cars which are expected to take part in tho procession. In order to avoid congestion, the procession itself will turn through tiie eastern gate of the A. and P. grounds, and, describing a loop, will emerge from the western gate and iui'ii hack towards town until reaching the entry to the private burial-ground. This will Carry the official cars clear of Iho press of traffic, and should simplify the parking of cars by the general public.
