APPROACH OF SUMMER
AUSTRALIAN HEAT WAVE SYDNEY, Nov. 4. Sydney citizens have sweltered for the'past 24 hours. Last night was the hottest in 16 years, the temperature a. 10 o’clock being 81 degrees. Again this morning they are experiencing fierce sun and hot winds. The temperature at J o’clock was 89 degrees and il remained in the CO s ail day. High temperatures and blinding disl wore experienced in South Australia and Victoria, with storms at night and the atmosphere heavilv charged with, dust, wlik-h spoiled clothing and did considerable damage to properly.
