BALANCING THE BUDGET ALTERNATIVE TO REPUDIATION (Received November 5. noon.) ADELAIDE, Nov. 5. The loan estimates for 1930-31 were passed in the Assembly. , Hie Premier, Air. Hill, said that there were two alternatives open to the Government, one to balance the Budget, and the other repudiation, a policy which he had never supported. Air. Hill praised the work of the Loan Council, which, he said, was more than ever necessary at this critical period.
