GARDEN'S FINE FLIGHT i . MAY ATTEMPT TASMAN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 5. noon.) SYDNEY, Nov. o. Completing what is regarded as a most noteworthy flight for one with the briefest knowledge of aviation, the young New Zealander, Mr. Oscar Gaiden, arrived at Wyndham at f> p.m. yesterday, having left England on October 17. Garden had reached Bima the previous afternoon, and yesterday morning flew to Koeparig, where he arrived at 10.3(1 o’clock, setting out threequarters of an hour later for \\ vml - ham. He arrived at the latter place, unheralded and unsung, 18 days after commencing his long journey. Garden is a member of a Scottish family who settled in New Zealand after the war. The aviator probably will attemp. the flight across the Tasman soon. No one was present to meet him when he landed a mile from Wyndham. The previous night lie had stamped with blacks at Bima.
