FARMHOUSE BURNED
(Per Press Association.) MARTON, this day. The six-roomed house of Mr. W. 11Oolcs, farmer, of Upper Tutaenui, near Marton, was completely gutted by tire at 9.30 o’clock last night. Mr. Coles, who was in bed, was warned hy tho smell of smoke and discovered! the fire, lie telephoned to neighbors, and cloth-; ing and bedding and a little furniture Were saved. Mrs. Coles and tho vhildrru were attending confirmation service iii Marton at the time. Tho house was insured for £7OO in the Stute office, and the furniture for £3OO in tho same office.
