VESSEL “ARRESTED”
SEQUEL TO COLLISION TAPANUI IN MISHAP (Elcc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received November Jj*. 2 p.m.) London, Nov. 4. A message from Nantes states that the Papamii, bound from Port Pirie to Avonmouth, collided with a lighter and two tugs in Saint Nuzairo docks. The Steamer was not damaged, but the tugs were slightly, and tho lighter seriously, damaged. The Papanui was about to sail to-day when the owners of tho tugs and lighter; demanded 100,000 francs. This was not provided, though the agent- offered his personal guarantee pending an arrangement with the underwriters. The vessel therefore was arrested.
