PRISONER SENTENCED
THEFTS FROM LAUNCHES (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. In the Supreme Court to-day, Alfred Skelton, 44, on four charges of theft from launches, was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment. Thomas Henry Langlois, 39, who had been associated with Skelton, received two years’ reformative detention. Tt was slated that Langlois was one of Skelton’s companions in the voyage of the stolen yacht Baata from Auckland, to Australia in 1922. Air. Justice Hindman, in .sentencing Skelton, said his prospects of again getting out of gaol were very remote. Pill rick Giiiiii. 35, for attempted breaking and entering, received two years’ hard labor. The judge described Gunn as one of lhe most dangerous criminals of the time.
