FANCY DRESS DANCES

SUCCESS AT NGATAPA A very successful fancy dress concert and dance was given by pupils of the Ngatapa school last Friday night. The teachers, Air. Oliver and Aliss Nielsen, greatly appreciated the assistance given by those ladies who provided the costumes, etc. Thanks were expressed to the musician, Miss Warner, and to Mr. White, who acted as M.C. The room was crowded, and the variety of gaily-colored costumes made u pleasing spectacle. Extra items in the form of poi. and hula dances Tendered by Mr. and Mrs. Kohc were well received. At the end of the concert opportunity was taken by the settlers to hid farewell to Aliss Nielsen. Air. Hamilton spoke on behalf of the settlers and scholars, and as a mark of their esteem presented Aliss Nielsen with a handsome dressing ease. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies, and later dancing was enjoyed.
