TRIBUTE TO WILKINS N-EW YORK', April 23. Sir Hubert W ilk ins was presented at the American Geographical Society by Dr. .I (din Finley, who said that he "'was among the roll of immortal explorers who began with Hlysses; he was the future Anemocrat of the South Wind." Sir Hubert Wilkius, in an address, discussed plans for meteorological stations in Antarctica. He also repeated his convictions concerning the forthcoming greater importance of submarines ' in polar exploration work.
