SUPERANNUATION FUNDS (Special to the Herald.l ROTORt'A. this day. ••As indicated in my last Ihidget, the financial position of'the State superannuation funds was found to be very unsatisfactory, due to the neglect in the past to give effet.t to the actuarial re ports and certificates in respect to subsidies," said the Prime Minister to-day. "A special committee of inquiry has been set, up and is now exploring the position fully.. In the meatime l am pleased to say that 1 have been able to do something' during the past year in the direction of increased subsidy pay meids. which were long overdue, an additional amount of C 175.000 having been paid over for I his purpose. "1 am also glad to say that in respect to the lower-paid Post and Telegraph Department employees an improved scale of salaries has been adopted and pn' into operation."
