Particularly brisk trading was done in Auckland shops in preparation tor the Easter holidays. Members of the Waimrapa Aero Club will celebrate the arrival of Hie club's first piano to-day. The ceremony will lake place at the temporary landing ground at South road, Mastcvton, and after a speech by the club president, Mr. W. L. Free, members of the club will lie taken for trial trips. The mem* liership of the Wairarapa Club is still increasing and a number of applications came in when the new 'plane arrived. Included in the applications arc several for tuition in (lying. Captain Park, the club's pilot-instructor, has already been engaged in giving Hying lessons at the Martinboiough aerodrome. An opening ceremony /or the Martinborongh aerodrome will be held, provisionally, on Saturday, Mav 3.
