GIFT TO DOMINION LAND FOR REST HOME (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Seventy acres of land at Otaki, cstimatfed to lie worth several thousands of pounds, has been presented to the Government for use as a site for a rest home by Mr. Brown. The property, which possesses' both beach and road access, embraces a forest of pines and a considerable area of arable land. This handsome gift foljows one of four acres recently made to the Government by Mr. Brown for the purposes of a children’s health camp. “The estate is a very fine one,” said the Minister in referring to Mr. Brown’s handsome gift last night. “It is worth some thousands of pounds and I am of opinion that the gift is beyond all praise. I hope to see an institution established there in duo course of which Now Zealand will be ■ proud. Air. Brown’s unstinted generosity will be widely appreciated.
