EGYPTIAN DIPLOMACY
TREATY NEGOTIATIONS DEMAND FOR CONCESSIONS (Received April 15. noon.) LONDON, April 14. All the wiles of the Egyptian delegation are at present concentrated on an attempt to shake Britain on the control of the Suez Canal. There is no sign at the moment of Mr. Henderson wavering under the rain of subterfuges. There is good reason for the suggestion that the importance the Egyptians are attaching to the canal is only camouflage, hiding a desire to obtain concessions m the Sudan. The probable line <>i Egyptian strategy is t'o accept the inevitable rebuff on the canal issue and then demand as a compromise the restoration of some measure of control in the Sudan.
