MOUNTAIN ON THE MOVE
NO LOSS OF LIFE COLLIERY OVERWHELMED (Eloc. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Received April 15, noon.) LONDON, April 1-1. Rumblings gave ample warning, and there was no loss of life when Trcdgoar mountain began to move at New Treadgear, Monmouthshire. Only two officials and two horses were in the pit at the New Tralgoar colliery when the landslide began. The officials were not long on the surface when rock and earth overwhelmed the colliery offices, smashing the pit top and bonding iron girders like pins. The main road and railway were buried under thousands of tons of rock and debris. The mountain is still moving.
