OBITUARY
ME. MALCOLM BOSS (Per Prcsß Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The death lias occurred of Mr. Malcolm Boss, aged 68 years, the wellknown journalist and author. Born in Dunedin in 1862. tho late Mr. Malcolm Boss had a distinguished athletic carter. He was educated at Palmerston North High School and Otago University, representing both at Rugby, running, ‘tennis, and cycling, while he was also an enthusiastic oarsman and golfer, and a pioneer in alpine climbing and exploration in New Zealand. He commenced his journalistic career on the Otago Daily Times, subsequently becoming private secretary to Sir James Mills. During the war lie served as official correspondent with the New Zealand forces in Egypt, France, and Gallipoli. In recent years lie has resided in Wei lington, acting as Parliamentary correspondent for a number of newspapers.' Ho was also New Zealand correspondent for tlie London Timas and Melbourne Age. His only son, Mr. Noel Boss, a member of tlie" London Times staff, died in 1918.
