BOY’S SHOCKING DEATH
TRAMPLED BY HORSE (Vor Props Association ) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Gordon Douglas Whitehead, aged 3 years, a son of Mr. V. 1). Whitehead, Tikorangi, died last night in the New Plymouth hospital from injuries received from being knocked down and trampled upon by a. draught horse at bis father’s farm yesterday afternoon. The father had just turned the horse into a, neighboring paddock when it jumped back over the half-raised gate and with a slow trot, trampled down the little boy 10 yards from the gate. The child suffered severe injuries to his head and body and died after five hours without, regaining consciousness.
