SATISFACTORY PROGRESS (Pnr Press Association.) WELLINGTON', last night. Al a meeting of the Rural Intermediate Credits Board, the commissioner reported that the board’s business showed very satisfactory progress, and that there was every indication that, amaterial increase would he recorded in the coming winter months. Apart, from the normal development of tho hoard's business, if is anticipated that, the reduced returns which are at present being derived front sheep and dairy produce, and f-lie increased cost of obtaining financial accommodation through the ordinary channels, will result in an increased'demand upon the hoard by farmers, In this '.connection it is of interest that the rate of interest charged 'to borrowers under all headings remains HI 0J; per cent, per annum.
