DISSATISFACTION EXPRESSED (Per Press Association.) WHANGAREI, this clay. Tho Whangarei Hospital Board "decided yesterday to withdraw from tho Hospital Boards’ Association. Tho main reason was tho executive’s action in backing up the department in its attitude towards maternity nursing in direct contravention to tho decision of the Hospital Boards’ conference. It was also contended that the association was controlled by the larger boards, tho smaller ones not having sufficient representation to make their influence' felt. The hoard also passed a resolution placing on record its appreciation of the manner in which doctors and staff dealt with tho emergency caused through (be Hikurangi level-crossing tragedy.
