NATURAL GAS
HARNESSED 920 MILES AWAY CHICAGO, April 3. Chicago and its environs will be supplied with natural gas by the greatest pipeline project yet attempted if tho plans announced today work out successfully. The plans also will involve a hook-up of .several of the. largest public utility and oil companies in the country. The project calls for a 950-mile pipeline from the natural gasfields in Texas to Chicago. The initial line probably will be a 22-in. pipe capable of delivering 100,000,000 cubic feet of gas daily. The installation of this lino, will be in a manner to facilitate parallel mains in the future.
