MOTOR CARS COLLIDE
MAN AND WIFE KILLED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Norman John Cook, a JohnsOnvillo grocer and his wife, have died as tho result of a motor accident on Ngauranga Gorge road. About 2.45 this afternoon two fivcseater cars collided at a right anglo bend and -Cook's car went over tho bank and was completely wrecked, ending its career in a stream at the bottom. Mrs Cook, sitting beside her husband, and who was driving, WW killed instantly, and Cook received a fracture of the base of the skull, a broken breast bone and a fracture of the right ribs, dying in hospital at 4.30. Two children, Joan, 8, and William, 7, who occupied the back seat, were uninjured.
