BLOOM WINS ON FOUL MORGAN DISQUALIFIED *■ (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. The professional welterweight contest between Ted Morgan (Wellington), 10st., and Lou Bloom (America), fist. 12i1b., ended in the fourth round, Bloom winning on a foul. The winner was clever in blocking the , Wellingtonian’s left, but an alleged foul in the opening round seriously- affected his display. He frequently appealed against Morgan’s low hitting.
It was announced before the bout that Morgan had been matched with Artie Hay for the middleweight title in June.
