PLEA TO PRIVY COUNCIL LONDON, Feb. 15. Mrs. Elizabeth Bethmie Campbell, the wife of a clergyman, of Boston, Lb'S.A., the first, woman appellant to appear in person before a Judicial Committee of the. Privy Council, yesterday concluded her speech in support of lici ease. ... , During four days siftings she occupied some 20 hours in the recital of arguments against a decision by the Supreme Court of Ontario in an, action concerning accounts under the Irustee Act. . The accounts related to the estate ol her mot her. the late Lady (Lh/.a belli) M. Howland, whose first husband was the lato Mr. James Bethmie, Queen's Counsel, of Toronto. The respondents are Air. W. D. Hogg, K.C., of Ottawa, and the Toronto General Trusts Corporation, of whose advisory hoard lie is a member. Mr. Hogg was the brother-in-law of Lady Howland. The further hearing was adjourned.
