CORRESPONDENCE

(To tlie Editor of the Herald.) Sir.—lt is pleasing to note that the firm responsible for the erection of the hoarding next to the late Sir James Carroll's grate has been good enough to listen to tin* voice ol the people, and remove it to a position more suitable. The trouble and expense entailed in the removal must have been considerable, and the firm s action, under the circumstances, reflects great credit, and 1 am sure that in erecting it the idea of sacrilege, to the honored dead did not occur to them. —I am, etc., THANKFUL.
