VAN GOES OVER BANK
DRIVER'S NARROW ESCAPE (Per Truss Association.) ■ N"EW PLYMOUTH, last night. Victor,Milne, a young man, had a remarkable escape to-day when a ■&&•] livery van he was driving hurtled 1 over a 20ft. bank ami hurst into; .flames. Millie, on a co'rner, met a car driven by a woman. He swerved to: avoid a collision,'the van crushing; through a fence and rolling down a bank. i Milne extricated himself from the damaged 'vehicle in time to escape; burns. (Up went to a nearby house; for assistance, and, returning to the scene, fainted. His condition tonight was satisfactory, extensive bruising being the only apparent injury apart from shock.
