The (loveriiinenfc workshops at Mount Maungainii, Tauriniga, are being enlarged, in readiness for additional machinery which is to be installed shortly. Forty-eight- men are now employed at. the workshops, and they arc engaged in heavy work for the Mnngaturenga bridge, on the East Coast railway.. Tim third and final span of (lie Waiknwa. bridge lor the same railway is completed and ready for transport to its destination.
