INDUSTRIAL DEPRESSION WAGE “CUT” THREATENED (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Asm.) (Received April 10, 11 a.m.) TOiKIO, April 9. A proposed 30 per cent, wages reduction by the Kanegafiuchi, a leading wealthy spinning company, because of the business depression, is threatening to create labor troubles throughout the nation. ’Other companies will inevitably follow the example. In the event of a strike, workmen will forfeit claims to participation in retirement and pension funds. The latest developments are causing the Government the utmost misgivings. Rioting is reported at the Kanegafuchi s Osaka mill, • and similar outbreaks in other mills.
