PEEVED WOMAN AUSTRALIANS ATTACKED LONDON, March 30. "I saw a good deal of the Australians,” says the, author of “W.A.A.U., a woman's story of the war, published by T. Werner Laurie, Ltd. “Though I* was told that they fought well, and were wonderfully brave, 1 could not bring myself to like them. Ihey were so rough and uncouth, at least those were whom I came across. Iliey had no respect for women. To walk alone after dark near their billets was to court being insulted, to say the least. They were as thick-skinned as thenown kangaroos. “The French hated the Australians though lioth Australians and Americans squandered, money recklessly. The writer alleges that she dressed as an old woman, and with a captain, who afterwards bequeathed her a fortune, she spent a week spying in Germany. They were chopped and picked up by an aeroplane.
