Between 700 and 800 Maoris, from all parts of tho North, gathered at the Kaikohe Native Church for the unveiling of a monument to the late Piitoto Kereopa, a chief of rank among the four tribes of the North, who died two years ago. Nurses who read of tlio death of the Rev. Graham Balfour in Melbourne wilt remember, with sympathy, his wife, at one time a member of their profession (says the Christchurch Sun). Mrs. Balfour hailed from Glasgow, and came to New Zealand in 1912 as matron of the Dunedin Hospital. A year later she married tho Rev. Graham Balfour, at that time minister of First Church, Dunedin. Mrs, Balfour was deservedly popular with the nurses under her charge, who remember her with affection and loyalty,
