Thoreupiuii the girl’s liancc jilted her, stating that he could hot alforcl to marry a girl “without clothes,” as he hud to biiv furniture and pay rent. Dr. Imhodeii counts chiefly upon wealthy lu'ides to come to the aid of their poorer sisters by contributing not only the money but by sending them the many useless and expensive presents they receive. There is only one condition for the girl who applies for aid. She must send at the same time a medical certificate staling that she is in good health.
