BOND ISSUE TO-DAY NEW YORE, April 7. The Sydney metropolitan bonds will be placed on* the market to-morrow in an issue of 7,500,000 dollars at 9k)i, yielding 6.15 per cent, callable on any interest date, beginning on May 1, 1940, at par. It is understood that a cumulative sinking fund of one-half of 1 per cent, annually will bo used to purchase the bonds in the market at or below par or to draw bonds bv lot at that price.
