N.Z. COUNCIL MEETS PROPOSED AUSTRALIAN TOURS (Pur Press Association.) . WELLINGTON, last night, The council of the New Zealand Football Association met to-night. The Australian Football Association, referring to the itinerary submitted for a lour of Australia by a New Zealand 1 cam of primary schoolboys, sabl the itinerary was prepared without a knowledge of suitable dates. .Mr. R. Harrison, of Auckland, wrote that he_ was against combining the buys' tour with that of the senior team. He would bo in Wellington in 'May and hoped lo visit the South Islam! also, in order that he might see Ihe boys playing, and make it selee--lif id. The Southland Football Assn. submitted the following remit for tlfc annual meeting next Monday: "That future selections of representative teams be made by a. North and a South Island selector, the latter to be a resilient, of Otago and that, prior to the Jinal selection, a North v. South Islam! match be played." The Auckland Football Association has already nominated Air, P. Noeshaui for the position of selector for the New Zealand team to visit Australia and wrote agai.-i nominating Mr. F. Campbell as manager. Suggesting that the position of assistant manager should be offered to the selector when appointed. The Auckland Football Association .sen! in the following remit for the annual meeting: "That application bo made to the English Football Association for leave io require the replacement of injured players in Now Zealand."
